The Abiola Corset
The Abiola Corset
Hand printed Batik fabric from a small village in Nigeria panelled with Damask jacquard in gold. This corset consists of synthetic whalebone for structure, a blend of bamboo cotton is used for the lining and a simple but elegant satin red bias tape runs around the edges. A satin red ribbon with a subtle shine is used as fasteners.
Inspired by a 50s silhouette mixed with African textile, TheBrandLayo aims to bring the elegance of the 1950s but with a Nigerian cultural take. I design, make and package all garments and put a lot of love in everything I make.
